A extension for n98-magerun that updates the stage database with the live data, and updates url keys
Would be nice to update the staging database with the live db in a single magerun command. So it dumps the live db, changes the urlkeys, and imports it into stage

to be able to show a running train by typing sl
I would like to see a train run by when I type 'sl', just as I can on the old Byte Platform.
21 votesThanks for the great suggestion! Unfortunately this is not allowed by the PCI compliancy.

Git LFS support (Large File Storage)
Git Large File Storage allows the storage of large binaries and resources together with your repository without actually tracking them. Typical 'large files' are SQL files, compressed files, binaries, design assets and large images.Separating these files from the standard repo keeps the repo fast and clean. Start supporting Git LFS as both Github and Bitbucket support it now.

webCEO for the Byte Magento platform
webCEO is a powerful SEO tool to provide keyword research, SEO audits, link quality control, site monitoring, internal link optimizing, competitor monitoring and social media analysis.
Therefore I think webCEO is very appreciated on the Magento platform. With webCEO, more visitors and more revenue!

Add support for CloudFlare Railgun
Hypernode is very flexible and powerful with Cloudflare, especially for security, however I'd like to use Railgun to improve the performance too.
6 votesDue to the priorities on our roadmap and considering the popularity of this suggestion, we’ve decided not to follow up on this.
Thanks a lot for sharing the idea en please continue to do so!

Varnish for Magento Basic and Pro and/or Magento Grow
I would like to use Varnish on the samaller hosting packages.
8 votesDue to technical limitations (memory, mainly) of the Start and Grow plans, we cannot make Varnish available on these plans.

Update/set server timezone automatically
The default server timezone is UTC which causes a lot of trouble with the Catalog Price Rules being updated every night.
I'm sure it causes a lot more problems.

Pre-configure TZ environment variable for bash shell and ftp
People not very shell-shavvy often get confused by the timezone settings. The default .bash_profile could contain:
export TZ='Europe/Amsterdam'
Or have a first-run mechanism / setup asking for timezone preference.
For FTP this is even more crucial. After changing back to normal time (as opposed to Daylight Savings) I had to explain to a client why offset changed from 2 to 1 hours. This wasn't easy. If possible this would be something configurable in the hypernode control panel.
1 voteSorry Melvyn, as we have users from several timezones, it’s not possible to hardcode these settings in the global basrc. You can however add it to your .basrc or .profile on your hypernode.

Hard reset the server myself without having/being able to login
When a server is unresponsive and I'm unable to login via SSH I need to be able to reboot/reset the server myself. Especially in the evening/night.

The /vendor folder blocked by Nginx
It's more that I'm curious about other people's thoughts about this. Should the /vendor/ folder (where Composer places it's dependencies) be denied access by default?
I today found a publicly accessible vendor folder on a just migrated webshop (it had a .htaccess inside /vendor/ to deny access, but Nginx of course ignores it).

Use Schumacher's mediamock
Use Schumacher's mediamock for staging environment on hypernode https://github.com/SchumacherFM/mediamock to save space. Also handy for the vagrant box, saves a lot of time to sync

ssl configuration
I understand the secrecy for some of the ssl configuration options, but I'd like to be able to control at minimum the cipher suite, dhparams and TLS minimal version. User interface or allowing configuration overrides don't matter to me. It'll be a setup time configuration and a few adjustments over a year dealing with new discoveries.
As a motivator, I'm currently browsing firefox with Calomel SSL Validator extension, set to 128-bit, PFS and TLS 1.2 only and many sitres, ironically including Mozilla's add-on site, become not available.

HHVM New Relic extension
It would be great to have the HHVM New Relic extension so we could use New Relic for Hypernodes as well. There is an unofficial extension, I'd say we use that one for now until New Relic releases their own (I'm sure they're working on it); https://github.com/chregu/hhvm-newrelic-ext/
19 votesCustomers are recommended to migrate to PHP 7 as this has the same speed benefits but enjoys greater stability and support over HHVM.

HHVM on staging
Currently you can only try HHVM on staging (https://support.hypernode.com/knowledgebase/using-a-basic-staging-environment/) if you also turn it on in production. The idea is to make it possible to turn HHVM on on staging only, to first try if it works before you go live with it.
1 voteWe are working towards deprecation of HHVM in favor of php7.

to have hidden directories handled the same as the Byte platform
I noticed that Hypernode treats hidden directories different than the (regular) Byte platform. The latter allows you to access files within hidden directories - it only denies access to hidden files (i.e. files with names starting with a dot).
Right now I cannot access files within the .modman directory. I know it's arguable if it's desired behaviour to be able to access those files, so let's start the discussion :)
My solution would be: document how you can make files accessible within hidden directories through Nginx config (and make it findable by at least mentioning modman in the support doc)…

MySQL databases aanmaken en beheren vanuit de Service Panel.
Graag mogelijk maken dat je MySQL databases zonder gebruik van de command line op het Service Panel kunt aanmaken en beheren.
1 voteOn hypernodes you have full (super) access to the databases, without the need of separating user accounts for byte admins and for customers. Therefore it is not needed to create and manage databases from the service panel as all functionality is available from the cli.

SPDY support so that my site runs faster in SSL
SPDY allows faster communication over HTTPS. A must if you run your complete site under SSL!
13 votesWe now have a comparable feature: HTTP/2 support, for the same result; faster sites in SSL. On February 11, 2016, Google announced that even Chrome will no longer support SPDY (in favor of HTTP/2).
