Historical backups
Hypernode has recovery backups in place, in case of explosions. Historical backups, a.k.a, point-in-time backups, are not supported yet.
Hypernode Go Big has historical backups included: https://www.byte.nl/hosting/magento/prijzen

Ah, historical backups are for enterprises only. That's strange...

Because we all have ssh access, you can add a simple bash script which creates a backup file for database and media.
I would like to advice everybody to create database dumbs because of InnoDB.
You can add a public key from your server to a remote backupserver to copy these files on daily base to a offsite location

It is very important for me to store my data at a trusted location. Please provide your own historical backup solution that is covered by your ToS. This does obstruct my transition to Hypernode.

We've provided instructions for setting up your own point-in-time backups (possibly with offsite backup): http://support.hypernode.com/knowledgebase/historical-backups/
