Enable AVIF images in PHP
AVIF is a modern image format, which generate smaller images. In most cases the generated images are smaller and parsed faster than WebP images.
AVIF can be supported in PHP as part of the GD library, but PHP has to be compiled using the --with-avif option.

Add support for Restic and Rclone on all Servers
To create external backups that one can manage themself please install the following packages in the base;
restic
rcloneWith restic we create fast backups to our own repository so we always have a copy of the important data within reach so we don't have to wait long times for a restore from Hypernode.
Also with Rclone it will be possible to backup things to more online services.

Add an option to manage IP's for a custom allowlist via portal
Add an option to manage IP's (which are used for the staging environment or the back-end firewall) at the Hypernode portal so our customers could add their own IP addresses.

Allow team management via API
I would like the ability to assign or remove users from Hypernode teams via API.
As an agency we have moved to using individual user accounts for every employee. The Hypernode admin currently does not allow assigning one user to multiple Hypernode teams at once, so this takes a lot of manual work to maintain.6 votes -
MariaDB support
MariaDB is a faster alternative to MySQL, especially since query caching was removed in MySQL 8
For example, MySQL lacks the following features for optimizing performance:
- optimizerswitch: "rowidfilter=off"
- optimizerusecondition_selectivity: 1So it would make a lot of sense to migrate from MySQL to MariaDB for high-load projects and be up-to-date after MySQL 5.7 was deprecated

Option to create new server instances by API
We would like to see the option to create new server instances through the API. In this way, we can create a new Magento instance and deploy it to a new server right away, without the need to contact Hypernode.

Add Proxysql for MySQL8 performance optimization
Query Caching has been disabled in MySQL 8+
See https://dev.mysql.com/blog-archive/mysql-8-0-retiring-support-for-the-query-cache/And it has negative effect on some of the customers with high DB load
According to the link above, it can be solved by ProxysqlPlease add Proxysql to the list of the standard services

Request SSL certificate from control panel or console
We use payed certificates for some of our clients which we need to upload to Cloudflare for instance.
Currently the way to go is "send an e-mail to support with the a request for right SSL certificate. They'll make it available on the server where we can download via SSH.
This to me is a job which could be automated and authorized too. This saves work for the support employee.
To make it secure we can add authentication.
Steps to follow:
- tech partner/employee (non-owner) requests a ssl certificate (either via web or console for a linked ssl on the…13 votes -
Add support for server side tagging containers
With the blocking of third party cookies next year, the new thing is to use server side tagging e.g. using Google Tag Manager. The server part of this is offered by Google either on their own cloud or using docker containers. It would be nice if Hypernode would support these containers, so that the hosting of the website and tagging containers can be in one place.

Assign multiple teams to one Hypernode
Where in the past we could ask for the public key and add it to our company account we now invite every developer separately in My.hypernode.com
Client are owner of the Hypernode, we are owner of our agency.
We would love to allow multiple teams on one Hypernode.
This makes on-/off-boarding new co-workers more convenient.
Currently we need to invite the new co-worker for each team separately.

Manage what kind of emails are being sent to what user-groups.
It would be nice if we can manage the type of e-mails being sent by Hypernode to a desired role or group of users.
Sometimes it's really useful to sent technical e-mails also to merchants, because Project Owners or Project Managers are responsible for creating the tickets within their team.

Please add Brancher on AWS instances
Can we pretty please be allowed to deploy Brancher nodes on AWS instances,.
Looks like something went wrong: {"non_field_errors":["Product Falcon M is not available on the parent's provider aws-frankfurt"]}
Deploy may optionally also be on another cloud.
We don't use the data from the parent.12 votes -
Disable access to phpmyadmin by default
When requesting a new Hypernode, phpmyadmin comes pre-installed and is directly accessible via example.hypernode.io/phpmyadmin/ without any whitelisting making it a target for bruteforcing.
We do not use phpmyadmin, meaning that it requires us to disable access to phpmyadmin via nginx for each new hypernode we request. Something that is easily overseen.
For us, ideal is to have its access blocked by default. Even better would be if we can toggle this in the Hypernode panel.

Allow Google PageSpeed Insights on development-nodes
During development of a new project, we want to check how Google PageSpeed Insight perceives a yet to go-live environment. Due to the default http authentication the PageSpeed Insights scan cannot be completed. Whitelisting the useragent for Google Pagespeed from http authentication is, apparently, not possible.
Currently we need to move the Hypernode into production mode before we can run the scan, but that's a bit cumbersome and makes the environment open to the public (while we're still in development phase).
Ofcourse we can use Google Lightspeed, but this gives us mixed-results. Having the possibility to whitelist the Google PageSpeed…

Storage add-ons
We have a couple of customers who have an environment where extra hard disk space is needed. There are a lot of media images or they have a feature where customers can upload photos.
Of course, we can upgrade to a higher Hypernode plan, but you can guess: the CPU is not doing much, and we have plenty of RAM left.
How nice it would be if we could buy an add-on for only extra storage space?

Easily manage SSH key access
Allow to easily access SSH key access in the control panel, like the way it used to work in the old control panel.
Allow for easy enabled/disabling of an SSH key for any Hypernode, without having to remove the key all together. This is sort of possible on the Hypernode itself right now, but this should also be available for non-technical users through the control panel.
In the old control panel it was possible to just select which SSH keys should have access to which Hypernode and this worked perfectly.
