  1. More resources for hypernodes

The resources should be increased to provide a good alternative to dedicated servers. I can't sell a hypernode account with 2gb RAM if my client can get a server with 32gb RAM and ssd's for 30 euro's less.

  2. Upgrade ImageMagick to more recent version.

Current version is 6.8.9-9 released in 2014, so quite outdated. A more current version like 6.9.10 or 6.9.11 would be more suitable and also fix a lot of small bugs.

  3. Naked domain over SSL using CNAME

    I have a problem where I can't reach https://mywebshop.nl but I can reach http://mywebshop.nl, http://www.mywebshop.nl and https://www.mywebshop.nl.

    Sven said:

"Het naked domain gaat naar de wwwizer. Deze redirect simpelweg al het verkeer naar de www versie. Echter houd deze geen rekening met SSL. Als je toch SSL wilt gebruiken op het naked domain zul je dus deze in een keer naar het IP adres van de hypernode moeten sturen. Deze kan echter veranderen en een dergelijke constructie raden we dan ook niet aan."

It is now possible to couple domainnames to your Hypernode and using our DNS servers.

We will manage the A records for you whenever the Hypernode IP changes. This way you can use direct SSL without www. since the A record will resolve straight to the correct hypernode IP.

  4. Adjust sendmail parameters in the php.ini on the development server to connect to an external mailcatcher (SMTP)

We would like to connect sendmail to an external mailcatcher (SMTP).

Our customers would be able to login the mailcatcher (Mailhog in this case) on a docker server and would be able to fully test all functions of the website, without having to be afraid that some customers might receive e-mails by accident.

The problem with making a solution for Magento that it's not always guaranteed to send mails to the mailcatcher, and is therefore not a solution we would prefer.

A command to change settings to the php.ini or sendmail line (in the php.ini) would solve this problem.

  5. Docker compose version of Hypernode

Like the Vagrant set up, but then using Docker compose. Would be great for the 'TA' in OTAP.

  7. Hypernodes on Digital Ocean upgrade according to new DO plans

As of Januari Digital Ocean stated "We have some exciting news about Droplet plans. Today we are upgrading CPUs, memory, and SSD storage across our Droplet classes and introducing a few new plans." For instance the $20/mo has now 2CPU/4GB/80GB, the $40 4CPU/4GB/160GB and the $80, 6CPU/16GB/320GB all new plans are stated here: https://www.digitalocean.com/pricing/
Can you update hypernodes on Digital Ocean the extra diskspace is very useful for a lot of our customers!

  8. Blackfire.io for profiling

I'm a big fan of blackfire. It's free and works great for profiling, specially in teams. It has, as far as I know very little technical impact and can run next to New Relic

  9. Additional ports for Hypernode staging environment

Hypernode currently supports ports ;-) 10080 and 10443
I would like additional support for alternative ports.

My typical use case is Cloudflare which does not support 10080 / 10443
    , see https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200169156-Which-ports-will-CloudFlare-work-with-

But I can imagine other services might also use other ports as well
and therefore can only be properly tested on Hypernode staging when addtional ports are allowed.

  10. Allow installation of the NodeJS MagePack app

At the moment we cannot install the Magesuite's MagePack Javascript bundling module (https://github.com/magesuite/magepack) on Hypernode because root access is required to install the NodeJS app.

With Google's upcoming Core Web Vital update in May it would be great if we can apply Magepack as part of our toolset to improve the Pagespeed scores.

  11. SSL available on *.hypernode.io to test

Why not add a wildcard certificate for *.hypernode.io to every Hypernode instance? This way we can test https functionality on the hypernode.io subdomain.

Maybe I'm overseeing some technical (or business) consequences, but I think this should be a relative simple thing to do.

  12. a automated script that checks the nginx access log for attempted attacks

It is easy to use the $ tal command to see the accesslog however i regulary see attacks coming from a single ip address like this:
    85.219.67.14 403 GET /catalog/product/view/id/415/s/stone/category/105/{{config%20path=web/unsecure/baseurl?store=barracudamotoes_gb&fromstore=barracudamotoes_es HTTP/1.1 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)

It should be fairly easy to use a combination of nginx and fail2ban to ban a certain ip when a pattern is detected ?

    Hi,

Although we don’t do exactly what was suggested here (we don’t block an IP, but we do have automated scripts blocking attacks), we believe we can call this one ‘completed’. If you think we should still work on something, please open up a new Idea in the UserVoice.

    Best,
    Hypernode Team

  13. xDebug hypernode-docker documentation with PHPStorm

Like the deprecated tutorial for Vagrant. Documentation on how to setup xDebug in the hypernode dockerbox and how to connect to it with PHPStorm would be helpful.

  15. ElasticSearch version >=6.8.3

Allow to select a specific version instead of just 6.x.
Some Magento2 modules break due to the ES version, which is 6.6.1 by default now.

  16. Node.js and grunt on the hypernode

Because of the developments of theme can be a pain in the ass with less requiring to recompile after every change, it would be handy to have Node.js and Grunt on the server so that we don't have to recompile every change.

I know we can use client side compiling. But it takes about 6 - 7 seconds every reload. And with Grunt you can see the changes without even having to reload the page.

  17. Standardize RabbitMQ plugins so they do not get lost after system upgrades.

Recently, we needed to contact the support team, as the Debian Buster Upgrade removed a RabbitMQ plugin (shovel plugin) from Hypernode. We needed to contact support team for a reinstallation of the plugin.

It would be nice to standardize the RabbitMQ plugins on the Hypernode so they will not be removed in future system upgrades.
